Anyone else glad to finally see some snow?! Yes, I know it's nearly February so not quite "Christmas" time any more but it definitely makes me think of that holiday season. :)
I'm honestly not a huge fan of snow or of winter in general but I was getting pretty tired of waking up almost daily to rain! Rain is so very depressing!
This is the first year that our daughter, as a busy two year old, is actually old enough to get out into the snow and play with it. So far she has mixed reviews.
1) It's too cold - she cried when she got snow on her bare hand.
2) It's interesting - it melts in her hand which she likes. (which is also probably why she keeps putting her bare hands in the snow. lol)
3) She loves making snow balls and throwing them!
and finally. . .
4) She absolutely hates it when the snow blows in her face!
The fourth reason is exactly why I had to take this photo from our balcony today instead of while we were playing outside. Though I don't think you can really tell from the photo, it was actually snowing and blowing at the time.
I was hoping to show you some snowflakes to make you even more inspired!!
So much for that. :)
Anyway, snow is fun. . .here's some pictures of what we did with it last week when it snowed enough just to cover the grass and I ran outside in my slippers to bring some in. . .lol.
We took snow and used food colouring to make it pretty!
So much fun, and so much mess!
But it was totally worth it! :)
Awesome idea!!
